How I celebrated my 26th birthday

Another year older

Hi guys! I wanted to share some birthday snaps with you all! At the start of the week I turned 26. 26!! How am I 26 already!? Ok getting older starts to freak me out me the more I think about it! I feel like the older you get, the quicker time goes – and that scares me a little. On the flip side, I am also so grateful to have celebrated another birthday and love looking back over the last year at what I have achieved! This includes reaching 6 months of (consistent) blogging which I am absolutely loving it – I only wish I had started it so much sooner – as well as buying our first home with my boyfriend Jonny! So excited to see what else is to come in the future and to have you here with me on my journey!

My birthday celebrations

This year I didn’t go crazy with the celebrations, as I live quite far from my family and friends, it can be difficult to arrange something that suits lots of people from different places. As you know now, I love visiting places with some history and culture (and pretty, colourful buildings), one of those places being Oxford. It isn’t too far from where we live but Jonny hadn’t been before so we spent my birthday there enjoying the sights and some afternoon tea! Punting was on the agenda however the weather wasn’t as good as it usually is in August so we postponed for another time. The views overlooking the high street and into the distance were taken from The Saxon Tower (I may have mistaken this for the Carfax Tower..oops), and we ate afternoon tea on the rooftop of the Ashmolean Museum.

My birthday outfit

Top – Zara – I am in love with the off the shoulder top I wore. It has gorgeous ruched fabric on the top half and tassel details at the sides.

Jeans – Topshop

Shoes – H&M (from a previous summer)
