As it is now officially summer (in the U.K.), getting ‘that glow’ is one of my priorities in the beauty department from both my skincare and cosmetic products. I have just purchased the Rimmel Good to Glow Highlighter and Rimmel #InstaFlawless whilst picking up my foundation (Rimmel London Lasting Finish Foundation) as there was a 3 for 2 deal, so obviously I had to take advantage right?! I was keen to try a new tinted product for those days when I don’t want to wear foundation but still need a little something to hide fatigue and give me a natural looking glow. This product also promises 24hour moisturisation whilst priming and perfecting, all with SPF 15. I got the light/medium and found it matches my skin tone really well and definitely erases signs of fatigue. The texture of the product is also quite light, the coverage was good and the scent is fresh so overall I’m pleased with this product.
I got the Good to Glow Highlighter in 001 Notting Hill Glow as this was the lightest shade and have worn already on my face alone, although the product explains it can also be blended with foundation for an all over glow. I have not yet tried this and may be a bit too much for me as the pigments are quite light reflecting but worn on the cheekbones and down the bridge of your nose, this product gives a subtle, luminous look. I have tried to capture the highlighter on camera in the best way so I hope you can see how the products look?!
For more strobing and definition, I have the Topshop Chameleon Highlighter in Mother of Pearl which I blend over a liquid highlighter on my cheekbones with a brush as it has a soft texture. I use this for an evening look for even more radiance and also some rose gold colour!
In my highlighter collection, I also have an MUA shimmer illuminating stick
which is so easy to apply and an amazingly low price. I love the light creamy formulation of this and how it is so easy to blend.
Lastly, one of my lovely friends gifted me the Barry M Cosmic Lights Highlighting Palette which has a combination of cream and powder shades so I’m looking forward to trying them all out!
I would love to go into skincare but I think this post is long enough so I will save that for another time! Haha
