Getting a better nights sleep, sponsored by Leesa.
If you haven’t heard of Leesa Sleep Ltd before, they are an online retailer of Premium Foam Mattresses, proudly manufactured in the UK. Leesa Mattresses are designed and engineered with three premium foams layers for cooling, body contouring and pressure-relieving core support.
1/ The top layer is the cooling foam which provides airflow for a cooler nights sleep, with enough bounce for movement. This is perfect for my partner Jonny who gets hot in the night, as I’m sure a lot of men experience!
2/ Secondly, the 5cm memory foam layer delivers the body contouring and pressure relief you’d expect from a memory foam mattress
3/ The 15cm base foam layer provides the dense core support, adding strength, durability and structure to support sleepers of all sizes, without feeling too firm. This is an important factor to consider when looking for a mattress that will need to suit two of you!
Jonny and I love our sleep but have quite different sleeping habits and body styles. Both of us can be quite restless especially since I’ve been pregnant, I’m waking up so much more in the night. Luckily, the Leesa Mattress is so stable, there’s minimal movement to the rest of the bed when one of us moves. Meaning less chance of disturbing and waking each other up!
When did you last replace your mattress?
The advice is to replace your mattress every 7 years and/or when you start waking up with stiffness, aches or pains. Having a decent and comfortable mattress is so important. Not only does your mattress determine the quality of sleep you are having, but it can also have an affect on your health and quality of life. I know after I’ve had a bad nights sleep, my mood is definitely affected the next day. Feeling refreshed, especially after spending 8 hours in bed, is so important to me!
Although buying a new mattress may be a huge expense for you, it’s certainly an investment considering the amount of use it will get.
Ordering and unboxing the mattress couldn’t be easier
Ordering the mattress was the easiest process thanks to Leesa’s impeccable customer service and delivery updates. You simply choose your mattress size and place your order through their hassle-free website. Delivery is also free. I ordered it on a Tuesday evening, it was shipped by 3.30pm the next day and delivered by Thursday – so speedy! (Of course, you should allow the full 5-7 days in case it’s not this quick).
The Leesa Mattress is compressed and rolled to fit inside a box for delivery. Once you have positioned it on the bed and unwrapped the plastic, it quickly expands. Within just a few minutes, we already loved how it looked with the grey material and four white stripes. The material also feels really high quality and luxurious. Within 24 hours, it is fully expanded although you can sleep on it after just two!
Leesa provides a 100-night trial and if your sleep hasn’t improved, you’re entitled to a full refund. The mattress will be collected from your home without any additional effort or cost to you. The Leesa giving-back culture means either the mattress is donated to a charity in your community, or a recycling partner will collect it from you.
Our thoughts on the Leesa Mattress
After just a few weeks with the new mattress, we have both felt a huge improvement in how much better our bodies feel when waking up. Jonny is recovering much quicker after playing sports compared to our old one. He also used to complain of shoulder pain which the Leesa Mattress has definitely improved.
I was also suffering with aches and pains in my sides and back, and most recently my hips. (I think this is a pregnancy symptom). Thankfully, the Leesa Mattress has really reduced the amount of times I was waking up feeling like this. Otherwise, I don’t know how I would have coped, especially as I get bigger!
I love how the Leesa Mattress is designed for all sleepers, and adapts to how you sleep, whether that’s on your back, stomach or side. I think this is because of it’s perfect soft/firm balance. The softness makes you feel like you’re sleeping on a cloud but the firmness to it really supports your back. If you are a back sleeper like me, this is really important to avoid issues in later life.
