Beauty Box: My Review on the May Glossybox

Hello! So I’m finally here with a review on the products I received in May’s Glossybox. I feel like time is just flying by, how is it nearly June already?! And I wanted to get this review up after I had tried and tested the products but also didn’t want to leave it much longer!

If you haven’t heard of Glossybox before, for £10 plus P&P you get 5 surprise products in a cute pink box every month! Better yet, they are suited to fit your own beauty profile.

Overall, I was pretty happy with this months box. It contained essential products that suit a variety of different needs and will definitely all come in use for everyday life.

I was most excited about the Scrub Love Active Charcoal – this was shown as a sneak peak in the previous box and I couldn’t wait for the next months box to arrive! To get you ready for summer, this scrub is an acclaimed exfoliator, you have probably seen the beautiful models all over Instagram! This particularly version, detoxifying charcoal, claims to absorb pollutants and impurities that build up on your skin from daily life, and it contains all natural ingredients including avocado oil and aloe vera juice – I love products like this! I’m not going to lie, this product is very messy, especially in this black version, and doesn’t smell too pleasant (reminded me of sick) but once I washed it off, my skin felt so smooth and clean – It’s worth it! This product was also the price of the box, so already I have saved some money!

Dr.PAWPAW Original Balm – You can use this product in so many different ways, on your lips, to smooth eyebrows, dry skin, cuticles and even hair for those finishing touches! I like that it is fragrance free to accommodate all of these uses. The size of the tube is very generous and its so light to carry around in your handbag – you never know when you might need it!

-417 foot cream – I haven’t ever heard of this brand before but was pleased as they are a high end cosmetics brand that use natural ingredients and minerals from the Dead Sea, 417 metres below sea level, I love this fact! As summer approaches, its time to start preparing the body for more skin exposure. In England, I feel like we are covered up for such a long winter, theres a lot of prep to be done, and nourishing dry heels is one of those areas for me! This product smells lovely and has started the process of softening the dryer parts of my feet.

Ruby powder blush – This brand focuses on brow and check definition, something this coral pop of colour will definitely do for the summer. I’m usually more of a bronzer type of girl, but having tried this blusher a couple of times, it’s actually very complimentary and gives off a pretty colour.

Revlon gel envy diamond top coat – I wasn’t hugely excited about a top coat nail product, but it is definitely an essential if you nearly always wear a nail polish like me! It accentuates the shine on top of a colour and helps with a longer lasting set of painted nails.

Lastly, in the box was a £50 Mockberg voucher! I headed straight to their website to check out their scandinavian watches and now have my eye on a beautiful soft grey and rose gold watch, she’s called Alice!
