The Prettiest Christmas Decorations in London

I’m hardly ever in London now that I don’t work there anymore but when I get a chance to catch up with friends there, I spend the day wandering around London beforehand taking some snaps for the ‘gram and for those of you reading this! It’s also the perfect way to get into the Christmas spirit. As it was nearing December, most shops, restaurants, streets and touristy areas had already started pulling out all the stops for their Christmas extravaganza.

Covent Garden

First on my list, with so much to offer, was Covent Garden, with the mistletoe theme inside Apple Market and the exterior of Clos Maggiore looking magical!

Regent Street / Oxford Street

Inspired by falling snowflakes, this is the 85th year that this main road in London has been decorated! Regent Street is renowned for being the ultimate shopping destination in the West End.

Fortnum & Mason

The ultimate destination for unique gifts with the sweeping staircase in the centre of the store

Somerset House

Liberty London

Liberty’s iconic Christmas Shop will definitely get you in the festive mood. My favourite colour theme is definitely white! Clean and sophisticated.

Oxford Street was as busy as it looks! The day that I went also unintentionally fell on Black Friday so I couldn’t resist paying Urban Outfitters and Topshop a visit. My love for UO has definitely reignited. I forgot how good that store is! I used to shop there when I went to University in Southampton but they really don’t have enough shops over the U.K. do they?!

Unfortunately I lost some time from my day (partly because it was dark by 4pm and iPhone’s really do not coorporate in the dark), but because I was also caught up in the suspected terror attack. Although we now know it was just a fight, the mass terror that spread all the way from Oxford Circus tube station to Regent Street where I was walking, is alarming, but testament to the fact that people are on edge, given recent attacks in busy areas. Anyway, fortunately it was a false alarm and my respect for the police force out there protecting us is higher than ever!

Are you feeling festive yet? Where do you visit for pretty Christmas decorations?
