It suddenly feels very autumnal in the UK after the heatwaves we were braced with just a few weeks ago. I have to admit, as much as I love summer and the warm weather, autumn is probably my favourite season for fashion. Being able to layer pieces, the colour palettes are more of a vibe, cosy knitwear, coats (my weakness) and boots. Eek. My wardrobe is really due an update to welcome this new season and I’ve been rounding up some of my favourite trends and pieces that are exciting me this month.
Midi skirt, jumper & boots outfit
Whilst it’s already getting a bit chilly to bare legs, this is a fab way for to not have to cover them completely, just yet! Feminine skirts and masculine biker boots look really cool together.
I’m still yet to find the perfect pair. I was wondering if the trend would be around to stay and it definitely is. They actually look great all year round and are an easy transitional piece from Summer to Winter.
I’m so happy the borg and teddy jackets, costs etc live to see another Autumn/Winter as I’m just as obsessed as I have been the last few years.
Cosy, knitted co-ords
Leisurewear/joggers for those comfy errands days, or a roll neck jumper and midi skirt co-ord for a chic day look. Invest in cashmere if you want good quality pieces that will always remain in your wardrobe.
These look fab layered and contrasting against something smarter for a luxe sport aesthetic.
For a tailored look. Just choose whether you prefer a balloon silhouette with tapered ankles, or more fitted at the hips with a wide leg.
A trend that’s here to stay a little longer. Elevate an outfit with a stand out head piece or take you from day to night with some diamond or pearl embellishment.
I still can’t get enough. I thought I’d be over leopard print by now but I’m really not. Then there’s zebra, dalmatian, snake..
Autumn doesn’t have to just mean autumnal colours. If you still want to look bold and feminine stand out in a hot pink dress or blazer!
I’m planning to make this a monthly thing on my blog, so keep your eyes peeled for the October edit.
