I thought I’d share a post about a select few beauty products that I am currently using and are essentials in my skincare routine!
First off is my Liz Earle cleanse and polish which I use to remove make up with a hot muslin cloth. I first tried this about 4 years ago after hearing so many good things and have continuously bought this cleanser since! I find this one of the best products I have for removing stubborn mascara and leaves my skin feeling so soft and clean. I would definitely recommend also using the toner and moisturiser for the 3-step process.
Next up is the velvety toner which is exactly as descriped! The feeling of it on your skin is so good – it’s really soothing and has a bit of an oily consistency which I quite like so it doesn’t leave your face feeling dry like some toners do. This manages to take off the last of any make up I still have left on my face whilst leaving it looking glowy.
Moisture masks = my Sunday evening treat. These masks contain the equivalent amount of hydrating active as 1 weeks use of day care*! There are lots of versions of these but this one is infused with chamomile, plant serum and hyaluronic acid so it feels and smells so fresh.
The moisture bomb spray, also from Garnier and in the SkinActive range is amazing. This product was in my goodie bag from the Glamour Beauty Festival that I went to a few weeks ago and I’m so glad. It sprays in such a light mist that I have been applying it over my make up and it doesn’t change the appearance at all! It instantly refreshes and even better it protects against harmful UV pollution and contains SPF and antioxidant pomegranate.
I have this mission to banish all blackheads forever and have blackhead free skin close up when not wearing make up, so I use Soap & Glorys ‘scrub your nose in it’ as often as I can, leaving on for two minutes. As a facial scrub I actually find the texture of the scrub soft and not abrasive on the skin at all and it certainly doesn’t cause any irratation.
The Estee Edit pink peony overnight water pack is so hydrating and smells as fresh as flowers. I also got this from the Glamour festival event which I was so excited about! I have been applying it at night just before going to sleep and have woken up with visibly softer skin. You also only need the smallest amount and it spreads easily over your whole face so I forsee this little tub lasting a long time.
Simple light moisturiser, an essential to my skincare routine. As the brand suggests this is so simple but effective. This is one of the products I put on my skin before applying makeup as it is so light but contains vitamins and leaves skin feeling hydrated all day.
I have been using a Clarins exfoiliating body scrub to tackle areas that could be smoother. It is always useful to exfoiliate a couple of times a week so if you apply a body treatment it will enhance the effectiveness, particularly tanning products. I notice my skin feeling softer straight after I wash this scrub off!
