How my Wardrobe is Transitioning into Autumn with Kimono’s

These outfit photos were taken a couple of weeks ago when I think we enjoyed our final day of sunshine and warm temperatures in the U.K. I layered this gorgeous maxi kimono from Pretty Little Thing over a white Topshop cami and my Topshop Joni Jeans, as although it looked sunny, the English weather can be so unpredictable. It turned out to be a perfect layering piece as the material is so lightweight but there is so much of it to keep you covered up! This type of garment is comparable to a duster jacket with the lightweight and versatile characteristics.

If you love the print and the sage green colour as much as I do, Pretty Little Thing have also prepared us ready to match with shorts, a maxi dress, a shorter length wrap dress, and a bralet!

If the weather stays quite mild and dry over the next few weeks, a kimono is such a good transitional piece before you want to give in and start wearing your winter coats. As much as I love a good coat (there will be a post shortly on my coat wish list), I also love to be comfortable and don’t want to get too hot if I’m out shopping or travelling.

There are so many ways this kimono can be styled – I wore it loose this day for quite a casual look and I wanted to experiment with it off the shoulders, although to smarten it up I would tie at the waist to create more of a silhouette and add some heels.

Although the print is quite summery, with darker accessories and different footwear, I am going to make it wearable for as long as possible throughout Autumn!
